FIRST CALL FOR SEED PROJECTS
“SEED COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS TO INCREASE ENERGY EFFICIENCY THROUGHT DISRUPTIVE NANOPHOTONICS"

Call OPEN from October 25th 2010 untill November 15th 2010

1st Call for Seed ProjectsThe Nanophotonics for Energy Efficiency Network of Excellence (N4E•NoE) aims to create a research and technology centre of excellence to re-orient and focus nanophotonics research towards the challenges in energy efficient applications. The project pursues a scientific bottom-up approach to ensure that novel ideas and scientific breakthroughs as well as established proof-of-concepts in academia are promoted along the value chain towards reaching their eventual goal of commercialization. More information may be found at www.n4e.eu.

The objective of the Seed Project Call is to integrate the research activities and resources (facilities equipment and people) of the partners. By launching a Seed Project Call, N4E•NoE aims to provide seed money for short-term (from 3 to 6 months) exploratory research projects to be carried out by two or more partners of the consortium. External collaborators may participate in a proposal but need to do so through a member of the N4E·NOE consortium.

Network partners are encouraged to present innovative proposals to increase energy efficiency through the use of nanophotonics through disruptive nanophotonics approaches.
