Mael Brossard is awarded for his presentation during the N4E Plenary Meeting

On June 1st and 2nd the N4E Network of Excellence celebrated a Plenary Meeting in Stockholm. Students and researchers were encouraged to prepare short presentations which would be evaluated during the Plenary.

Mael Brossard from School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Southampton was awarded for his outstanding presentation Resonant Energy Transfer from colloidal QDs to bulk silicon: The Road to Hybrid PV

Dhriti Sundar Ghosh from ICFO wins the Photonics21 Student Innovation Award

Mr Dhriti Sundar Ghosh, PhD student in Prof. Valerio Pruneri’s group at ICFO, is one of the two recipients of the Photonics21 Student Innovation Award.

Photonics 21 is the European Technology Platform in Photonics. Only one prize (which may be shared) is awarded  each year. Competition is pan European, and fierce.

The award was established by Photonics21 Work Group on  Research, Education and Training in order to promote research in photonics related to R&D with industrial impact.

The School would offers students, researchers and scientists the unique opportunity to engage in scientific learning with some of the European experts in the field of Hybrid Nanostructured Materials.
